For every fancy meal, ribs are one of the meals that everyone prefers. Whether it is a festival or you are expecting someone special for dinner, your go to favorite is smoked ribs.

While the mantra is simple, set the smoker to 225-degrees F and follow the 3-2-1 method to come up with the best tasting ribs. It takes almost 6-hours to prepare a plate of lip-smacking ribs.

When it is about ribs, the most popular method is 3-2-1 method. If followed cautiously, you will end up with the best tasting ribs every time.

1. Smoking 

Well, other than the conventional rule of preheating the smoker, you should expose the seasoned ribs to heavy smoke on low heat. The smoking is to be done 3-hours. You can select any kind of wood from apple, cherry, hickory, or alder for smoking.

2. Wrapping

As per the second step, the wrapping should be done for 2 hours. You should foil the runs with the choice of liquid since everyone has a unique selection of liquid to use. The most conventional liquid is made with apple cider, dark brown sugar, and butter.

You have to cook it for 2 hours at 225 – 250-degrees F. Once the braising period is over, make sure to look for the retraction of meat from the bones. A perfect sign is when bones are exposed on the end at least 1/4-inches to 1/2-inches.

3. Smoke Again

This is the last step that you have to follow. You have to baste the ribs greased in BBQ sauce and bring them back to the grill for the last smoking hour.

The 3-2-1 method is known to make sticky, tender, and sweet ribs. This is one of the most accurate methods that does not fail to make the best ribs.
